HERE ARE SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN THE MEETING PLACE
SARAH BAKER

I am married to Rick and live in Chetnole. I was a member of the Lee Abbey Community in Devon, and worked for the Church of the Province of Southern Africa, before starting a career as an NHS Occupational Therapist.
I took early retirement from the NHS in 2012 to train as a counsellor and built up a small private practice. I retired from professional counselling in 2022 but still use my skills and experience in pastoral counselling on a less formal basis.
JULIE DUNN

I am Julie, a professional musician, vocalist and keyboard player, working as a soloist and with a wide range of musicians. I perform many different styles and genres, with jazz being my first love. You can find me at www.juliedunn.co.uk.
I offer private piano and singing lessons.
As well as leading worship at The Meeting Place, I am also involved in worship at other events and services in the area.
MALCOLM DUNN

I organise and often lead our home-based Sunday services, alongside other aspects of The Meeting Place. I maintain this web site – you’re welcome to use the form on the contact page for comments.
I worked in the IT software industry for many years. I have since officially become a “senior citizen” and am pleased to have more time for my work within the church. I also carry out an administration role for a charity which has a focus on ecumenical Christians working together for renewal, unity and evangelisation.
I live in Yeovil and have been married to musician Julie for 50 years – a longer sentence than the Great Train Robbers received, but happily served! I support her as a roadie in her gigs within and beyond the church community.
RICHARD ROBERTS

I live in Beaminster, I have been married to Norma for over 40 years. Our three adult children have produced eight grandchildren so far, which is a great joy!
I worked initially as a doctor and then as a psychotherapist. I have been involved in Christian ministry for many years. My most recent academia-based role was as Director of Studies for a Masters Degree at a theological college.
I spend some of my time travelling in the UK and abroad for speaking engagements, mainly on the topic of Christian unity. I have have been involved for many years with the Vatican, helping Catholics understand the nature of the new churches that have emerged over the last 60 years. I help organise an international conference which brings together Christian leaders from various traditions. I was formerly a trustee at Ffald y Brenin Christian Retreat Centre in West Wales.
