THE MEETING PLACE LEADERSHIP
The Meeting Place is led by a small team which currently consists of Richard & Norma Roberts, Malcolm Dunn.
Leadership is seen as being relational and functional, the recognition of the role that people perform, rather than being an appointment as an official in an organisation. While leadership aims to keep us on course for our journey together as The Meeting Place, any major decisions and changes are made following consultation with the wider body of the church.
Our emphasis is on shared ministry, with each person in the church exercising their particular gifts, rather than one or two people being seen as ‘the ministers’. Leaders are not expected to lead or speak at every meeting and we aspire to the sort of wide participation described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:26.
