The way events unfolded after the death and resurrection of Jesus is told in the book of ‘Acts of the Apostles’. It was written by a doctor named Luke who also wrote the Gospel of St Luke. It’s the sequel to the gospel; book two of a two volume series that was written as a historical account of what happened during the ministry of Jesus and after his death.

An essential feature of both parts of the story is the amazing, miraculous things that took place. This little book describes events recorded in Acts that enabled the Message of Jesus to reach the furthest points of the Roman Empire within thirty years of his death and resurrection – in the Power of the Spirit.

This is the 2nd booklet Dave Wright has compiled from his Questor articles. Copies can be obtained from Dave at djw5@btinternet.com or call 01935 891449

Saint Patrick: Resilience & Adaptability in Church Leadership explores the challenges faced by contemporary leaders in our changing world, with a particular focus on those who lead churches, home groups or Christian mission agencies. Highlighting societal shifts and the marginalisation of the Church and acknowledging the many complexities of current Western society, attention is drawn to the resulting liminality and confusion experienced by many today, much as in St. Patrick’s time.

Delving into Patrick’s experiences, the material examines key themes such as:
– Patrick’s clear divine calling that shaped his ministry
– His openness to the Spirit
– His grounding in the Word
– How he navigated the inevitable conflicts (both external and internal) that he encountered in his ministry
– The unyielding confidence he exhibited in God

“Richard Roberts has written a great book on prophecy. He looks at prophecy through the lens of the biblical, historical, and contemporary models. I found it helpful, practical, an easy quick read of only about 150 pages. There are current issues related to prophecy that makes it very timely.”
 Dr Randy Clark (Global Awakening)

REDEEMING PROPHECY evaluates prophecy today using the lens of scripture and of church history. Informative and accessible, questions addressed include:
·       How do we actually receive and communicate prophecy?
·       How can we evaluate the content of a prophetic word?
·       Can we distinguish between the human and divine elements of a prophecy?
·       What makes someone a false prophet?
·       What safeguards and protocols should be in place?
·       Is there an overlap between ‘natural’ intuition and prophecy?
·       How can we evaluate political prophecies?

Written for all who want to strengthen their roots in God, this book introduces us to renewed patterns and rhythms for living which cultivate God’s presence in our everyday lives. Inspired by accounts of Celtic monastics, Richard Roberts blends their example with personal experience and biblical insights to create an integrated approach to Christian living, fit for the twenty first century.

‘I am very thankful for the challenges presented in this excellent book, and I know that in the weeks ahead there will be many occasions when they will stimulate my approach to cultivating God’s presence in my own personal spiritual life.’ – Charles Whitehead, Chair of The International Charismatic Consultation

‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. This is a book that will help pilgrims who are hungry for the Presence of God do just that. There are few books that when I read, I don’t want to put down, fewer still that when I have read, I want to read all over again. This is one such book.’ – Anne de Leyser, Director of Local Houses of Prayer (Ffald y Brenin)

Richard J Roberts is a trustee of the International Charismatic Consultation and previously of the Ffald y Brenin Retreat Centre in Wales. He is on the organising committee for the Gathering in the Holy Spirit (Rome) and the Charismatic Leaders Fellowship (USA).

Between 2012 and 2019, Dr Richard Roberts from the Meeting Place was involved in discussions with the Vatican, in order to help Catholics better understand the new churches, which have sprung up around the world since the middle of the 20th century.

As a result of these talks, Richard was the principal author of a document, describing the new churches. Click here to download the document in PDF form.

For most of us, the Bible is experienced in short extracts. They may be the readings we hear in church, the stories we hear at school or those we become familiar with at times such as Christmas and Easter.

Between April 2014 and September 2015 we posted a series of Questor articles on the website under the heading of ‘Story of Stories’. This series described the Big Picture in simple, everyday terms so we can understand more about how God wants to live in a close, loving relationship with every human being. Each of these extracts is just a snapshot of a much bigger picture and it is this Big Picture that really tells us about God and how we relate to him.

These stories were written by David Wright and have been combined in a 64 page booklet. Copies can be obtained from Dave at djw5@btinternet.com or call 01935 891449
